New helmet ID system

In addition to having an ICE entry in your cell phone, check out this neat little gadget to attach to any helmet - bicycle, motorcycle, etc., for emergency responders to gain quick access to vital information, even before having to remove the helmet. In addition to having this for yourself, put it on your kid's bike helmet. And it's cheap enough for that little bit of extra security.

Looks like an excellent product, mrlmd! BTW, we all have to be aware that, in spite of our listing an "ICE" phone number on our cell phones, most of us have our cell phones lock after a period of time What are the odds that your cell phone, if intact and functional after an accident, will not be "locked" to outsiders who do not have your security code? If your phone locks and you go down and the EMTs don't have your security code (how would they?) how can they contact your ICE person? I think the helmet ID system here makes a LOT of sense! Thanks for blogging on it, mrlmd!
