As promised, here's a little show and tell about the wheel jockey. I said in the video that you use it to move your rear wheel. Of course, it works under either wheel! I think it's going to be very useful when I'm dealing with chain maintenance and wheel cleaning.

I don't want to belabor this or put a fly in the ointment, but I already posted a link to Harbor Freight where they sell a Haul-Master item very much like this with a little ramp on one end to get the wheel rolled up onto it, for $29.

No worries, mrlmd. I have no vested interest in wheel jockey. I didn't know Harbor Freight had a similar product. Darn slick idea, either way.

Wheel Jockey sent us one to test out. Once it gets warmer, we will film it and post the video here as well. Here are some things that I've noticed about them: (other than price)

    1. The Harbor Freight looks to be a bit bigger with wider rollers and a longer footprint. Something that you would keep at home in your garage.

    2. The Wheel Jockey is something you can definitely throw in your tail bag and take with you on a trip. As you know, your chain needs some form of lubrication every 300 - 400 miles (depending on riding condition). I don't think the Harbor Freight unit would be as easy to take along.

    Just my 2 pesos.

I also checked out the Harbor Freight thingy and will ask them to send us one.

I wish I could call up all the motorcycle gear/gadget places and ask for a free sample.

When you need more testers, have that stuffed shipped here, maybe the shipping charges are even less if it's closer. Or if they need a second opinion in a different climate.
I'm available for testing free stuff and I'm very impartial. (LOL).

    No problem mrlmd.

I know you said this is jest, but we have a big stack of stuff to review and we can not get to it all. Plus....once we start getting bikes (believe it or not we are getting a Can-Am!!), we will have even less time. Send carol your mailing address and the stuff you would like to review and we will take it from there.

    Done. Thanks.
Maybe I can be promoted to one of the official 2WT Gear Testers.

Can you put studded snow tires on that thing to ride around in NJ/NY and PA?

Well, mrlmd, I've got a buddy who keeps asking me if I am going to put sheet metal screws in the knobbies of my dirt bike's tires (along the sides, not the middle) and take it out on a frozen pond for a few laps. He swears that it will have enough grip to get 'er leaned way over! Actually sounds like fun, though I'd wouldn't want to do it to my newest tires!

Check out this article and see what they did to their bike- pretty impressive how well it works.

oh COOL!!! I'll have to see if they will let me have a computer in the E.R. so I can give you an update on how it works. ;)

But seriously, that looks like fun.
