I have added an mp3 to the 1500 Goldwing. Looked at these things for 2 months and finally decided on the Latte I view for my application. It works great so far, does not have a touch screen but uses 4 buttons for all functions. I was looking at touch screens , but after I got this it is best for a bike. With a touch screen you have to see the screen , hard to do in full daylight . Most needed functions are accessed with 2 buttons, ff rew next play last play with a rocker switch and on pause stop off with another.
The buttons can be operated with gloves on , but it is naturally harder to do.
oTHER GOODIES INCLUDE cAMERA , VIDEO , AND CAN STORE FILES AS A FLASH PLAYER .
1 function that I think is unique to the player is the radio system . It not only receives but also sends. Set any frequency and tune the radio to it and instantly have music .
The main reason for this topic is the safety issue of button vs touch screen . This player can easily be operated from your pocket or as mine is set up on the dash secured with industerial velcro pad

Giturgun Hi,

Thanks for the great information. I ride a GL1800 which I bought used with a satellite radio. It has the added expense of the monthly fee but, also, has the benefit of only 4 controls. In a way it's a little crazy because of all of the various buttons and controls on a GW, so what would a few dozen more really matter!! But you are absolutely right that simple is better and less distractions is better yet.

Thanks again for sharing!!

Can you give more info on who makes it? Is Latte the company? What is the model. Perhaps we can do a video review on the unit so others can see what it is about.

Sorry I did not check for responses . Yes the maker is LATTE , they make models called I- vue ( mine ) Expresso , and another but I did not consider it . Their web site address is www.lattefone.com These can be had from most of the sellers such as over stock and others . I can't remember which one mine came from right off. It was 89;00 give or take a few bucks.
I would get the 8 or 16 gig model if I had known what I know now . I have filled mine with songs and could use more room .
Other than that I am very happy with it
It is not waterproof , but mine has been soaked a few times and has never skipped or acted up at all.
1 MORE THING IF YOU DO DECIE ON ONE OF THESE. Order the car kit . mine did not come with it . just a house charger... And to make it work with the charger start the music playing then hook up the charger , otherwise it goes in charge only mode.
